PARISH COUNCIL UPDATE

At its meeting on Tuesday 15th October 2024, the Parish Council:

• Considered representations from residents on traffic issues on Forest Road and agreed to support a Speedwatch scheme organised by residents and to make representations to the County Council and Police about the lack of enforcement of existing speed and weight restrictions.
• Following a discussion on the local impacts of recent flooding agreed to investigate how the Parish Council could help make information on flooding risks and mitigations more readily accessible for residents.
• Agreed the next phase of work for the ongoing refurbishment of Littlethorpe Village Hall.
• Agreed to request a free parking day in village car parks from Blaby District Council in support of the Connecting Narborough event planned for 7th December.
• Discussed concerns around illegal parking on Littlethorpe Recreation Ground by customers of the Plough Inn.
